He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Purdy and Lillian Purdy. He is survived by: his wife Katie Purdy of Hanover; his children, Brenda Gristey (John McCully) of Chatsworth and Brian Purdy (Angela Nice-Purdy) of Kitchener; his grandchildren, Shannon (Kevin), Melissa Allison (Alex), Meagan (Cody) and Blake; and his great grandchildren, Jax and Cody.

Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
