He was predeceased by: his daughter Amanda; his father Gordon; his brother Michael; his brother-in-law Peter Wight; his birth mother Shirley (Minard); his sister Brenda James; and his in-laws, Merlin and Shirley Dodd.

He is survived by: his wife Lorri (Dodd); his children, Jeremy of Hanover and Marissa (Joe Bak) of West Grey; his grandsons, Cash and Joel; his mother Audrey of Hanover; his sisters, Terri (Mike Weber) of Clifford, Kim (John Greenwood) of Kanata and Carolyn Wilkans of Kitchener; and his in-laws, Sandra Dodd, Lyle Dodd (Deb), Susan (Gerry Meyer), Gale Wight and Nancy (Bruce Holliday). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives.
