He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Remers and Maria Remers (Schramm); his wife Trudy Diercks; and his brother Gerhard. He is survived by: his close friend Trudy; his children, Trevor Remers (Tammy McCracken) of Hanover and Heidi Van Der (Mitchell); his grandchildren, Ronin (Quinten), Teo, Saskia, Laura and Christopher; his siblings, Eberhard Remers (Christine) of Windhagen, Rudy Remers (Mary Lou) of Elmira, Peter Remers (Val) of Cambridge, Rosie Parkes of Ottawa, Agathe Klingspon of Kitchener, Kaethe Slavik (Grant Easton) of Barry's Bay and Margaret Lederer (Henning) of Ignace; his sister-in-law Liesel Remers of Kitchener; and also Jackie Shields.

No registration is required, face masks are mandatory, as well as standard social distancing.

Memorial donations to the Hanover Masonic Lodge or to the St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
