He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his siblings, Francis, Willard Poechman and Lillian Tubbs; and his brother-in-law Evan Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Poechman (Marlene) of Walkerton, Barb Schuknecht (Steve) of Chesley, Marianne Poechman of Walkerton and Wayne Poechman (Jan) of Walkerton; his grandchildren, Maria, Matthew, Melissa, Nathan, Ben, Daniel, Sean, Katie, Mary Sue, Jacob, Paul, Christine, Heather and Shawna; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Easton, Ilan, Luna, Charlotte, Karissa, Ava, Aviv, Brooklyn and Colton; his siblings, Allan Poechman (Joan) of Walkerton and Edith Austin of Kitchener; and his sister-in-law Dianne Poechman of Kitchener.
As per the provincial regulations and COVID-19 restrictions, all visitors are requested to wear a mask when inside the funeral home as well as the church.
Memorial donations to the Right to Life would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
