She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Roy William Kartechner Dear; her children, Wayne (Vivian) of Woodstock, Randy (Jacqueline) of Kitchener, James (Angela) of Cambridge, Nancy of Ottawa and Jeffrey (Angela) of Kitchener; her parents, John Kreager and Anna (Nuhn); and her siblings, Eileen, Helen, Leola, Melvin and Fred. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hanover and District Hospital.
