She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Benninger and Viola Benninger; her former husband Gary Beninger; her sister Sheila Girodat; her nephews, Kent, Shawn Benninger and Mike Alton; and her stepfather Wilbur Beninger.

She is survived by: her husband Andrew MacKinnon of Hanover; her children, Carrie Beninger (Bartec) and Curtis Beninger; her mother-in-law Elsie MacKinnon (late Al); her stepchildren, Tyler (Amy) and Shelby (Mike); her grandchildren, Dylan Kliest, Alysa Sproul Beninger, Malakhi and Cayden MacKinnon; and her siblings, Donny Benninger (Ann), Brian Benninger (Deb), Roger Benninger (Deb), Dale Benninger, Paula Alton (Brian), Cindy Benninger (Brian Horrigan), Bruce MacKinnon, Doug MacKinnon, Glen MacKinnon (Jane) and Cathy Smith (David). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion - Hanover Branch would be appreciated by the family.
