Alice Mawhinney Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Mawhinney; her parents, James Dickson and Annabel Dickson; her daughter Sharon; her siblings, George Dickson, Ken Dickson (Mildred), John Dickson (Florence), Stella Douglas (John) and Ralph Dickson; and her siblings-in-law, Russell Field and Monique Mawhinney.
She is survived by: her children, Dave of Carrick Township, Karen Mawhinney of Carrick Township, Jim of Carrick Township, Doreen Mawhinney of Carrick Township, Marlene Mawhinney of Carrick Township, Murray of Carrick Township and Jane Mawhinney of Carrick Township; her grandchildren, Kelsey, Chantelle, Brent, Mike, Crista, Melissa, Joe, Nathan, Tiffany, Anna, Wyatt, Lauren and Brayden; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Allison, Ivan and Adalynn; her sister Jean Field of Clifford; and her siblings-in-law, Deanne Dickson of Mildmay and Ron Mawhinney of Hanover. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Anyone wishing to attend the visitation must RSVP using the links found below or by calling the funeral home (519-392-6011). All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Belmore Community Centre (cheques payable to the Township of Howick) or Saugeen Hospice Inc. would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
