He was predeceased by: his child Eddie McConnell (Detra); and his siblings, Terry, Linda, Mary, Brenda and Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin McConnell and Amanda Strong (Doug); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Emily, Jacob, Charlie and Hannah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
