He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Veronica O'Gorman. He is survived by: his children, Michael A. G. Azad Haykin and Juanné E. Kochhar; his children-in-law, Alison E. Haykin and Ashok Kochhar; his grandchildren, Victoria, Nigel Haykin, Arun and Ajay Kochhar; his grandchildren-in-law, Sharon Haykin, Anisha Kochhar and Kanika Kochhar; his great grandchildren, Veer Kochhar, Meera Kochhar and Adira Kochhar; and his siblings, Nawzad Hakim, Alya Hakim and Wedad Hakim.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home (378 Wilson Street E., Ancaster, ON L9G2C2).
