He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bethel and Sarah Bethel; and his siblings, Dora Gillanders (Eric), Geordie Bethel, Betty McKee, Billy Bethel and Eva Bethel.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Bennett); his daughters, Johanna (Adam) and Andrea (Chris); his grandchildren, Brielle, Nathan, Xavier and Tristan; and his siblings, Jimmy Bethel and Sadie Breaden (John).
Sam loved all animals, and any donations to the Hamilton SPCA (https://hbspca.akaraisin.com) or an animal rescue would be appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
