We bid farewell to Salvatore Butera (Hamilton, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 31, 2024 at the age of 94. Salvatore touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Carmela; his parents, Calogero and Carmela; and his siblings, Vincenza Baio (late Alfonso), Gaetano Butera, Giuseppe Butera (Calogera) and Gerlando Butera (late Pasqualina).
He is survived by: his sons, Charles (Frances), Joseph and Tom (Maria); his granddaughters, Melanie, Rosemary, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) and Alexandra; and his siblings, Anna Principato (late Filippo) and Lorenzo Butera (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Donations in Salvatore's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Society would be greatly appreciated.
