He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Violet; and his siblings, Dorthy (Gar), Daisy (Bill), Ted (Betty), Ivy (Charlie) and Irene (Charlie).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, John (Steff), Sarah (Eric), Graham, Mary (Kim) and Terisa; his brother Ron (Mary); and his extended family, Irene, Paul O'Byrne, Sarah (Shaun), Seamus (Chalice) and Paul Joseph (Karen).
