Robert Columbus Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2025, at the age of 85, Robert Columbus (Hamilton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfrid and Viola; and his siblings, Bernard, Anne (Bill McSorley), Mary (Jim Walsh), James and Patricia.
He is survived by: his children, Christine (Steve Berta) and Jeff (Lisette); his grandchildren, Matthew, Makayla, Ryan, Bo, Abbygael and Joseph; his sister-in-law Anne; and his niece Adele.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A rosary was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hamilton - Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish (63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek, ON L8J2W9).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you honour Bob's memory by spending cherished time with your loved ones. Alternatively, for those who wish, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 163 (https://www.legion.ca).
