He was predeceased by: his parent Garfield Carey; and his siblings, Joan Barrie, Garfield "Brother" Carey, John Thomas Carey, Delores Beaton, Lorraine MacDonald and Buddy Roland.
He is survived by: his parent Katerine Carey; his children, John Paul Carey (Heather) and Kelly Lawrence (George); and his grandchildren, Matthew Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
