He is survived by: his wife Diana Bassie; his children, Angie Holman (Fred), Debbie (Ken) and Mark Bassie (Laura); his great grandchildren, Alex, Helena, Lily, Amelia, Grace, Eve, William, Marcus, Kaiah, Madeline and Archie; his siblings, Lena Bassie, David (Evalina), Jack, Sarah, Paul (Barb), Trudy (Ben), Bill (Wilma), Peter, Case (Bridgette), Lenie (Bob) and John; and his siblings-in-law, Nellie, Agnes (John), Corrie (Eric) and Case (Alida).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mount Hope Community Christian Reformed Church (3076 Homestead Dr, Mount Hope, ON L0R1W0). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
