He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell MacLean and Eliza MacLean (Blakely); and his siblings, Agnes, Ruby, Bliss, Colin, Yvonne and George.

He is survived by: his children, Tanya MacLean (Darren MacDonald) of Miramichi and Christopher MacLean (Cindy) of Miramichi; his sister Edna Boutillier of Fredericton; and his grandchildren, Mandy, Cameron, Erika and Ashton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
