She was predeceased by: her husband Syl; her parents, Silvio Benassi and Teresa; and her siblings, Carlotta Galasso and Delio.
She is survived by: her children, Marlene Tompa (Joe), Sylvia Bosanac and Len (Susan Suterski); her grandchildren, Vincent (Danielle), Andrew (Madelaine), Natalie, John and Zachary; and her great grandchildren, Freddie, Hannah, Ethan and Hudson. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the P. X. Dermody Funeral Homes (796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, ON L8V4K4). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Eugene's Church (232 Queenston Rd, Hamilton, ON L8K1G6).
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Eugene's Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.
