He was predeceased by: his spouse Joni Eberle; his parents, Dr. Bob Cardwell and Nancy Cardwell; and his brothers, Steve and Julian.

He is survived by: his brothers, Stuart (Nanci) and Mark (Nicole Marcotte). He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
