With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Mary Frances McDonagh in Hamilton, Ontario, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her husband John Norman McDonagh; her parents, Lucille and Robert'Bobby'Eber; her brothers, Robert'Bud'Eber and Jack Eber (Marilyn); her friend Edward "Ted" Carey (Velda); and her son Allen (Fay).
She is survived by: her children, John (Patsy), Elaine, Kerry (Linda), Louise (Yvon), Johnny (Sally), Lynn and Susan (Edward); her nieces, Nancy (Kerry) and Kathy; and her caregivers, Judy of W's Sherry and Lulu. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, ON L9A1T2). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
