She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Karsten and Johan Karsten; and her in-laws, Ann VanBenthem (Albert), Ralph, Jan and Pieter Karsten (Mary).
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Groen; her children, Marcée Lane (Jeremy), Jeremy, Derek (Renee) and Daniel (Alicia); her grandchildren, Julia, Cassidy, Austin, Dylan, Hayley, Kate, Hannah, Brooklyn and Cayden; and her in-laws, Trudy Prinzen (Wilma), Albert (Katie) and John Karsten (Grace).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church (265 Middletown Rd, Hamilton, ON L9H5E1). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, people may make contributions to The Carpenteros and Friends.
