It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine (Bartels) Vanderhout (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tony; her children, Brian, Lisa Vanderhout and Marian Vanderhout; and her brothers, Willem (Jenny Bartels), Martin (Biny Bartels), George (Roelie Bartels), Mannes Bartels, Klaas (Egberdina Bartels) and John Bartels.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Laura, Andrew Bosscher, Jaimee, Landon, Marlaina, Scott Post, Maizie, Josie, Rory, Bradley, Ashley Vanderhout and Madelyn; her siblings-in-law, Tina Bartels, Andy Vanderhout and Frances Vanderhout; her brothers, Maart (Coby Vanderhout), Wim Vanderhout (Immy Vrijland) and Bep VanDam; and her siblings-in-law, Klaas, Tine Vanderhout, Mac, Anne Vanderhout, Maaike Vanderhout, Adrie, Jan VanStaalduinen, Suus, Jaap Boers, Leen Vanderhout, Pauline Vanderhout and Betty Vanderhout. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill St N, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church (353 Stone Church Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9B1B1). A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Mount Hamilton Cemetery (260 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9B1C2).
