He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ruth (Les Luanberg) and Bill (Sharon); his in-laws, Ethel, Bruce Cowie, Olive, Con Hannah, Bill Skewes and Herbert Skewes; and his parents, Lloyd King and Muriel King (McCallum).

He is survived by: his wife Marion; his sister Marlene; and his sister-in-law Patricia Skewes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
