“I wish to send you my sympathies on your loss. Years ago I was privileged to know Doug through the Hamilton District Society of Chefs and Cooks. I later went to teachers college to become a food and nutrition teacher (family studies). When I finished school, he and his colleague Chris Invited m to do a 2 week practicum at Bateman. I learned a lot from Doug. The most important lesson was to relax in the classroom. He will long be remembered by his students and his many colleagues.”
