We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2024, at the age of 93, Donald William Gater (Hamilton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Donald William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Urram Gater and Charles Gater; his brother Grant (Lou); his uncle Manhattens; and his children, Luanne and Randal.
He is survived by: his siblings, Derek (Sylvia) and Sylvia (Phil); and his children, Wendy Burkholder (Steve), Cindy Williams (Sharon), Wayne Gater (Jane) and Sandy Holden (Dean). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
