It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Djuro Mrkobrada (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on November 22, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Djuro may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his spouse Danica; his child Dušan (Juliana); his grandchildren, Tamara and Mihailo; his mother Stanica; and his sister Radojka. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home (36 Lake Ave Dr, Stoney Creek, ON L8G3N3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church (1401 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8H2W4). A burial will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mountview Gardens Cemetery (735 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, ON L8E5J6).
