Carolyn Gowan Obituary

Carolyn Deborah Gowan, of Arthur, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, May 14th, 2018 in her 54th year. Beloved Wife of Robert. Loving Mother of Jennifer Gowan (Paul Droog), Melissa Gowan (Dan Stevenson) and Kristina Gowan (Ryan Swartz). Cherished grandmother of Quinn, Justin, Abbigail, Helena, Oliver, Alyson, Brodie, Ayden, Tyson, Xander, Kash, and Baby Swartz. Carolyn will be sadly missed by her mother Carol Purcell, siblings Dan Purcell (Liz) and Shawn Purcell (Lois), father-in-law Dennis Gowan and step-father-in-law Bill Kipling, sister-in-law Karen Mason (Jamie) and brother-in-law Brian Gowan. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by father Frank Purcell, and mother-in-law Marilyn Gowan. Following Carolyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Fordwich United Church, 3082 Patrick Street, Fordwich on Saturday May 26, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Brain Aneurysm Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
