He was predeceased by: his parents, David MacMillan and Rhoda MacMillan (Marie) of Sault Ste; and his brother Bordie MacMillan. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his stepchildren, Vance Merrill (Jennifer) and Darlene McDermott; his grandchildren, Evan and Alexa McDermott; his sister-in-law Sandy MacMillan; and his nieces, Kellye and Jamie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7).
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial donation in Al's memory, can do so with the Alzheimer's Society or the Salvation Army.
