She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Anna Jacoba Wiersma; her spouse Elco Wiersma; her brothers, Arnold (Gertie) and Harry (Joanne); and her brothers-in-law, John (Jane) and Bill (Magda).

She is survived by: her children, Bill (Marian), Ron (Sonia), Diane (Theo) and Darryl (Wendy); her siblings, Margaret (late Frank), Charlie (Jennie), Alice (late Fred), Christina (late Bill) and Janet (late John); and her sister-in-law Sylvia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
