Anka left this world on February 16, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Anka departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Anka may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Anka leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marko; and her son George. She is survived by: her son Joseph Petrovich (Teresa); her sister Vera Vukovic; and her nephew Tone Valcic. She is also survived by mother and father, brother and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A prayer will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (440 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8N1C6).
