He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Calvin and Ethel McLaughlin; and his siblings, Murray, Harvey, Victor, Rodney, Bert (Elaine), Gerald (Gwen), Doreen (late Wally Fleugal) and Eleanor Moyles.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer (Ken Dusome), Jason (Pam Murer) and Karen Ann (Mark Griese); his grandchildren, Bethanie, Donovan Dusome, Carter, Reed Griese, Aidan and Ashlyn McLaughlin; his siblings, Erma (late Roger Nesseth), Iva (Brian Jahn), Minerva (Ervin Crawford) and William (Evelyn); and his caregivers, Morgan, Kerry and Amy.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or Renfrew Victoria Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
