He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gauthier and Jeannette Loranger; and his siblings, Thérèse (Lou Quenneville), Marie-Paule (late David Jones), Albert (Jeanne d'Arc Rivard), Marcel, Lorraine (Stefan Makuch) and Claire.
He is survived by: his wife Cécile Goudreault; his children, Anne Rioux (Luc), Josée O'Toole (Pat), Martin Gauthier and Sophia Gauthier (Eric); his grandchildren, Daniel Rioux, Valérie Rioux (Dave), Alain Rioux (Maritza), Mathieu Gauthier and Stéphanie Gauthier; his great grandchild Liam Butler; his siblings, Maurice (late Rollande Léveillé), Philippe (Juliette Léveillé), Lucille (late Jerry Panagapka) and Robert (Gisèle Alary); and his caregivers, Rachel, Nesa and Jenny. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Buffam Léveillé Funeral Home (483 Broadway St, Haileybury, ON P0J1K0). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Église Ste-Croix on Saturday (341 Sutherland Way, Haileybury, ON P0J1K0).
