She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Sharlene, George Gordon, Kimberly and J. J. Hoekert; her grandchildren, Wyatt, Luke, Alison, Jorja and Jolene; her parents, Lawson Smelser and Clara Smelser (Everets); and her siblings, Ralph, Carl, Margaret (Harvey Arnold), Jim (Ruth), Roy (Linda) and Armin (Margaret).
