He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Slote and Lila Slote (Nelles); his siblings, Mildred Stone (Wray) and Carl Slote (Ruthanne); his nephews, Laird Stone and Donald Munro; and his niece Sarah Munro.

He is survived by: his children, Cary (Kim) and Nikki (Dan); his grandchildren, Easton, Logan and Summer; his sister Mary Munro of Burlington; his nephews, Jamie (Lisa) and David Slote; and his niece Diane Stone.
