He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Sandy and Geraldine Sandy. He is survived by: his wife Mary L Sandy; his children, Brandy (Les), Brandon, Misty, Michelle and Don; and his siblings, Mike, Johnson (Brenda), Wendy, Gail, Brenda, Beverley (Freeman), Linda, Sherry and Ironworkers. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His short battle with Covid was the only fight he has ever lost.
