She was predeceased by: her husband George A. Best; her parents, Adelard Maillet and Marie Maillet of Waweig; her grandson Stefan; and her brothers, Andrew (late Olive), Sam (Claire), Steve (late Frances) and Gerard.
She is survived by: her children, Shelley of Hagersville, Gerald (Lynn) of Hamilton, George (Kim) of Hamilton, Nicole (Chris) of Stouffville and Marianne (Ken) of Wainfleet; her stepdaughters, Eddie (Gail) of French Cove, N. S. and Vada (late Roy); her siblings, Armond (Grace), Rene (Donna) and Alma (late Lloyd); and also, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Brad, Shantal, Robert, Jessica of Tiffany, AJ, Mathew, Tyler, Alexander, Bradley, Daniel, Evelyn, Kendra and Wyatt. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Stedman Community Hospice.
