He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his parents, Edward Bacher and Martha Bacher (Ebert); his siblings, Eileen Stire (Bill), Margaret Stewart (Fred), Rhys Bacher (Jean), Keith Bacher (Margaret) and Peter Bacher; and his sister-in-law Carol Waldbrook.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda, Terry McKibbin, Christine Bacher, Debbie and John Dykstra; his grandchildren, Megan, Jonathan Hamilton, Joshua McKibbin, Jason, Brett and Ryan Dykstra; his stepgrandchildren, Ross, Kellie McKibbin, Jason and Kim McKibbin; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Everett Hamilton; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kade, Lia, Nolan, Makayla, Kyra McKibbin and Faith Hamilton; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Bacher, Joan Stewart, Gordon, Marie Speller and Melvin Waldbrook.
