He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottlieb and Rosalie; his siblings, Siegfried, Erna, Else, Erich and Gustav; and his son Manfred.
He is survived by: his wife Margot; his sibling Liesel; and his children, Anne (Ray), Bert (Heather), Wayne (Elaine) and Doris (John).
