He was predeceased by: his parents, Phylis Murphy and Roy Murphy; and his uncle Cornelius "Buddy" Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Janice May-Murphy; his children, Ryan May (Julie) and Nicole Heidlinger (Adam); his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison May; his mother-in-law Margaret Fleming (late Frank Fleming); his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Fleming and Frank Fleming (Brenda); his aunt Anne Smith (late Ted Smith); his cousins, Blaine, Sitka and Smith; his friend Rob Anderson (Andrea); and his pet Sir Clyde Murphy.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Brombal Funeral Home (1 Delhi St, Guelph, ON N1E4J3).
In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Intensive Care Unit at Guelph General Hospital.
