He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Scapinello and Malvina Scapinello. He is survived by: his wife Mary Scapinello; his sons, Derek (Stefanie) and Paul (Andrea); his grandchildren, Mateo, Sam, Gia and Max; and his brothers, Lorenzo Scapinello (Clara) and Walter Scapinello.
