He was predeceased by: his father John Carreiro; and his grandparents, Ollie Sajkowski, Jose and Lourdes Carreiro. He is survived by: his mother Barb Sajkowski; his spouse Ashlee Smith; his sister Jodi Carreiro (Brandon); and his grandmother Barb. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.

Donations can be made in his name to the Children's Foundation's Free To Grow Program to provide children and youth in Guelph access to sports and mental health counselling.
