He was predeceased by: his brother Don; and his former wife Carolyn Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gilbert (Hillerby); his daughters, Jennifer Suffern (Dan), Cathy Garvin and Michelle Coleman (Gavin); his stepchildren, Andrea Hillerby, Jason Hillerby (Catherine) and Steven Hillerby; his grandchildren, Dallas, Payton, Noah, Aidan, Megan (JP), Matthew, MacKenzie, Austin and Sabrina; and his brothers, Doug (Donna) and Bruce (Rita). He is also survived by friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Guelph Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
