He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marinus Bassie and Lena Bassie; his siblings, David (Evelina), Jack (Myrna), Sara (George), Rien (Diana), Len (Carole), Paul (Barb), Trudy (Ben), Bill (Wilma), Pieter (Karen), Case (Brigitte) and Lena (Bob); and his sons, Jacob and Joshua.
