He was predeceased by: his parents, William Esbin Garfield Mighton and Winnifred Mighton (Frances Clare Mighton); his daughter Catherine King (Chris); his stepson Bob Spicer; and his siblings, Arthur Mighton, Olive Thorne, Edward Mighton, Harold Mighton, Glenna Nelson and Victoria Scalisi.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Spicer; his children, Laura Eryou (Kevin) and Steven Mighton (Barb); his stepdaughters, Susan Spicer and Patricia Spicer; and his grandchildren, David King (Jenn), Clare King, April Khabbaz (Samir), Elsbeth Dowhan (Greg), Eric Eryou (Madison), Stacey Mighton, Thomas Mighton (Lauren), Morgan Angrove (Alex Roe), Hilary Angrove (Mark Taylor) and Ryan Angrove. He is also survived by six great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
