He was predeceased by: his father Hugh John "Jack" McKinnon Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary McKinnon (Jim Flint); his siblings, Milton (Diane) of Saskatchewan, Ernie (Barb) of Ottawa and Gail (Tim) of Saskatchewan; his son Adam Bertrand (Amy); and his former wife Rosemarie McKinnon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Together they formed the band "Jake Stacey" which evolved into their all-original band "Foundation" in 1995.
