He was predeceased by: his wife Else; and his parents, Francis and Helen. He is survived by: his children, Ron Murphy (Sandy), Karen Murphy Hodgson and Debbie Murphy (Réjean); his grandchildren, Christopher (Angela), Michael (Melissa), Katrina (Aaron), Lindsey and Kimberlee (Colin); his great grandchildren, Mason, Asher, Eleanor, Harrison, Autumn and Willow; and his sister Sharon Starkauskas (Joe).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by the family.
