Francis George McCaig Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Frank McCaig passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024.

Loving husband of Elaine (Wilson) for nearly 64 years and cherished father of his three sons Mike (Diana), Jim, and Doug (Bel). He was the proud grandfather of Melanie (Zak), Christopher, Justin, Matthew (Amanda) and Nickolas, and great grandfather of Wyatt. Son of the late Clifford McCaig and Helen (Weber) McCaig. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and clay target shooting, which he excelled at. An honorary life member of the Galt Sportsmen's Club, and member for over 50 years.

Frank was an entrepreneur whose passion was running his own business and spending time with his friends and customers. Besides his family, Frank loved his Labrador retrievers past and present: Sheeba, Sally, Brady and Maddie.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and PSW's at the Guelph General Hospital for making his last few weeks as comfortable as possible and all the PSW's who provided home care.

We hope he is having a beer and a smoke in heaven with his friends who have gone before him: Jim, Barry and Gerry just to name a few.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home. A private service will be held.
