Frances Elda Portt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Elda Portt of Guelph, Ontario, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Elda Portt to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances McMullen and Thomas McMullen; her husband Bruce Portt; her sisters, Lauretta Preston and Blanche Reid; and her nephew Clarke Preston.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Ann Colquhoun and Cameron Portt (Rena Burkholder); her grandchildren, Heather Colquhoun (Mark Perkins), Allan Colquhoun (Cachelle Fry), Michael Portt (Laura Carlson) and Andrea Portt; her great grandchildren, Sophie Perkins, Halston, Harlow, Hazel, Hyla Colquhoun and Lawrence Portt; and her nieces and nephews, Diane Kennedy, Gary Preston, Linda Muir, June Dafoe and Burton Reid.

Although declining health and COVID - which she referred to as "a nuisance"- reduced her opportunity for activities in recent years, Elda remained positive with her sense of humour intact.
