He was predeceased by: his son Carter; his parents, Daniel MacNeil and Mary MacNeil; and his siblings, Wendell, Catherine and Samuel.
He is survived by: his wife Barb MacNeil; his sons, Don (Cathy) and Ed (Kristen); his grandchildren, Brenna, Logan, Riley, Jordan (Jas), Rachel, Chad and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Reese, Alyssa and Aliya; and his brother Eric.
To honour Don's memory, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice Wellington or the Canadian Cancer Society in his name.
