He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Neal and Ella Neal; and his brother Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Irene Neal; his children, Michael (Brenda) of Arthur and Shawn (Bobbi) of Hespeler; his grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris), James and Lauren; his sister-in-law Corinne (Gordon) of Port Colbourne; and his cousin Janet (Rolf) of Richmond Hill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
