He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Butler and Molly Butler; and his brothers, Ralph, John and Tony.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Butler; his son Neil Butler (Tanyon); his grandchildren, Brandle Bennett (Scott), Addison Colombo (Josh) and Ryleigh Butler (Jesse VanParys); and his sisters, Mary Young (Phillip), Lynn O'Hara and Wendy Truman.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Springfield Golf and Country Club - Tamarack Room (2054 Gordon St, Guelph, ON N1L1G6).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary's General Hospital (Kitchener) - Cardiac Centre Fund.
